Unusual uniqueness

The world's most peculiar shaped island, Sulawesi resembles anything from an open-jawed crocodile to a specific letter "k". Lying between huge Kalimantan and The Maluku islands, Sulawesi is Indonesia's 3rd largest island with an area of 172.00 sq km (about the size of Kansas). The population of multi-racial Sulawesi is almost 13 millions. An amazing diversity of societies exists here, with distinct separation of old and new, traditional and modern within the many cultures themselves. There are fiercely Islamic Bugis and Makassarese of the S, the animist-Christian Torajas in the south central region, and the prosperous Christian Minahasana of the north. This variety, along with some spectacular mountains, coastline, lakes and plains, makes Sulawesi a highly tourists visited island who remains largely concentrated in the southern leg and specially in the Tanatoraja highland culture region. However Sulawesi also contains some of the most remote jungles areas in Indonesia, with unusual flora and fauna and nearly unknown tribes, and is unique place to explore.

  Two days have set aside for the grand excursion to Toraja highland. The highlights in this region include the stone graves of Lemo, the ancient stone graves where the bodies of the dead are placed with animistic ritual still performed up to now as been for centuries, magnificent countryside, traditional villages, traditio-nal Toraja houses found at Ke'te' kesuk, Naggala, and Pallawa which has a unique design relating to bull and horns that also believed capable to carry the spirit thru the heaven reflects the concepts of hereafter.

  Drive about 8 hours back to Ujung Pandang passing some beautiful landscape, settlements, and countryside. Arriving at Ujung Pandang, dropped to airport for departure.

  After meeting service depart to Kajang, an area inhabited by a tribe who dressed in black. On foot visit the Konjo tribe in the isolated area village of Tanatoa. Lunch ios on box. If time or weather allows, an opportunity to see beatiful sunset at Lake Tempe. Overnight at simple lodge.

  Leave Sengkang for Toraja through some beautiful landscape and Bugis rural villages. Afternoon arrive and overnight At Rantepao.

  B'fast. Leaving for a fullday tour visiting the hanging graves at Lemo, the royal tombs at Suaya, traditional village at Ke'te Ke'Su and cave.

  Another exciting fullday tour visiting Toraja weaving village At Pallawa, villages of Marante and Nanggala. Lunch en route at local restaurant.

  Soon after b'fast a scenic drive by minibus approximately 9 Hours to Ujung Pandang. Lunch and refreshment stop at Pare Pare. Overnight at Ujung Pandang.

  Breakfast at hotel. City-sightseeing of Ujung Pandang Visiting Fort Roterdam, a 200 hundred years Chinese Temple and an Orchid Garden. Lunch en route to airPort to catch your onward flight.

  On arrival at airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and assisted to have a City Tour then to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
• D-2 » MANADO - BUNAKEN DIVING ( B / L )
  After b'fast fullday diving at Bunaken isle area, 2 times dive a day with magnificent marine life, vertically dropping cavernous wall, colorful corals, hundreds of colorful fish which also found unknown in the world. Afternoon back to the hotel.

  Transfer to the airport for flight departure.

  Upon arrival at airport, having lunch at Manado City then proceed to Tangkoko Nature Reserve. In the afternoon enter the rain forest to see Tarsius Spectrum, a smallest primate in the world. Dinner and overnight at simple cottage.

  After b'fast at the cottage, explore the rain forest trying to see the balck monkeys, hornbill, cuscus amids the canopy of the forest. Lunch at the cottage. After lunch drive to Manado then check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

  B'fast at the hotel, then having Minahasa Highland Tour visiting Tinoor with nice view of Manado and surroundings. Tomohon a small town between two active volcanoes, local highland market, Lahendong with Linow lake, Japanese Cave at Kiawa II, Pulutan to see the ceramics and pottery, driving at the edge of Tondano lake. Lunch at local restaurant and after lunch visit Woloan to see the traditional home industry of Minahasan. In the afternoon return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
